On Sunday 5th July, Find a Voice held our annual 5K Fun Run.
We were delighted this week to collect a cheque from Sainsbury's at Bybrook, Ashford
for a whopping £1,500.
This year's swimming event will be held on Sunday 1st May. Everyone is welcome!

At the training centre in Beaver Lane, Ashford, students can either participate in a structured learning course such as Asdan, or they can have tailor made lessons prepared to suit their ability and interests. Both training methods are monitored and the individuals progress is charted and in the case of Asdan, certificates are awarded for completion of set course work.

Communication), VOCA (Voice Output Communication Aids) and switch toys that we

We live is a society of ever increasing age and with age
comes age related illnesses such as Dementia and Alzheimer’s. Dementia in all
its forms is a disease that is becoming increasingly more common and
unfortunately, communication and speech issues are a massive part of this.
Find a Voice can offer Augmentative and
Alternative communication devices (AAC) at different levels and assist in creating
communication passports for people with Dementia to use as a tool to
communicate. We can also create symbol
based cards to help with the very basic of needs such as being thirsty, hungry
or even being bored!

This ensures that we have someone available exclusively to deal with your queries. Our Outreach Co-ordinator travels across Kent and East Sussex to deliver
communication equipment wherever it is needed. We are the only charity that
provides this service free of charge. We loan equipment for periods of six
weeks, to schools, portage groups, nurseries and individuals.
