Damian Green MP

Damian Green was the President of Find A Voice in the early days of the Charity. He believes that it is a very worthwhile cause and how the dedication and determination of a small group of people can make a difference to people's lives.

He was elected as MP for Ashford in May 1997, and subsequently re-elected in 2001 and 2005. He is currently the Secretary of State for Work & Pensions.

Nicholas Witchell, Patron

Nicholas Witchell joined Find a Voice as a Patron in September 2015, after Alastair Dutch introduced him to the charity and he was able to see first-hand the important work the charity does for those who struggle to communicate.

Nicholas is perhaps best known for his role as News reader for the BBC’s Six O’Clock show which he presented with Sue Lawley from 1984. Since 1998, Nicholas has been the BBC’s Royal and Diplomatic Correspondent, covering all aspects of the Royal Family and their formal engagements around the world.

Lee Ridley, Patron

'Lost Voice Guy' Lee Ridley was born with cerebral palsy and has no natural speech. He uses a communication aid to 'speak' for him and has forged a career as a stand-up comedian, appearing at the Edinburgh Fringe. He is honoured to support the work of Find A Voice as our newest Patron.
